Notes
In 1928 Dick and Leona Beman moved from Watertown to Castlewood. He
left his job at the Public Opinion due to lead poisoning. In 1942 they
moved to Madison, S.D.
Birth recorded in Howard Co., Iowa. Birth date is listed as Oct. 11,
1892 in Cresco. He was fifth child of DuNoyes Livingston and Mary
Deborah Hunter Beman, whose ages are listed as 33 and 32 (Note ages
differ from those listed for parents of Ora and Alta), both parents born
in Iowa; Wm. E. Wright, M.D. of Cresco, Iowa was attending doctor.
Daughter, Ella Ruth Beman (21 oct 1916 to 30 Jan 1917, bur. Mt. Hope
Cem.) has no birth or death record listed in Watertown (Codington Co.),
Clark (Clark Co.) or Webster (Day Co.). Burial listed in card file only (in
1917). 1917 burial records are missing from both the Court House and
Shaw-Messer Funeral Home in Watertown.
Dick Henry is Buried in Section O, lot 49, s1/2, Grave #4.
1920 census:SD, Codington Co, Lake Twp (between Lake Kampeska and
Hiway 212) lists Dunois L. (62-IA-NY-NY-farmer) and Mary D.
(60-IA-PA-IL) Beaman with son Dick H. (27IA-IA-IA-laborer) and Leona
M. (22-MO-MO-MO) with Mary L. (4 2/12) and DuNois (1 9/12).
