1860 census: Fremont Twp., Winnesheik Co, Iowa lists Joshua P. (41-OH) and Christina (40-NY) Johnson with three children; Daniel 14-IL, Mary R. 10-IL and Nathaniel 2-IA: and Martha Jeffers 17-IL. Joshua is a farmer, $2000 real estate, $700 personal property. 1850 Census - Harlem, Winnebago Co., Illinois lists Joshua T. (31-OH) and Christina (30-NY) Johnson with Daniel (5-IL), AND Mary Jeffries (77-NY) and Martha (9-IL) and Elizabeth (12-IL) Jeffries [his mother-in-law and two Jeffers nieces]. 1880 Soundex (J525) searched in IA; no Joshua or Christina found. 1880 Soundex (J525) searched in MO; no Joshua fit, no Christina found. (No children >10 in 1880?) - [Check IL, also 1900:IA, IL & MO - look for sons.]
