DIED COLBORN. Mr. B. B. Colborn, brother-in-law of Mrs. Dr. Bell, died last Friday in Chicago o f pneumonia, after an illness of but four daysŁu duration, and his remains were brought to thi s city Sunday and laid to rest in the city cemetery by the side of his wife, who was Miss Ell a Bowen, of Janesville, who died last spring at the home of Dr. Bell in this city. Mr. Colborn was 44 years of age, and was a native of Kent, England. He was a civil enginee r and was long engaged on surveys for the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul road. He was workin g on a survey at the Black Hills when the Indian trouble four years ago drove him fro the fie ld and he went to Chicago. He was one of the engineers who had charge of grading the ground s and making the sewer system of the WorldŁus Fair. Since the completion of that work he wa s employed on the Chicago city sewer and tunnel work where he contracted pneumonia which spee dily proved fatal. He leaves three little daughters, aged respectively 10, 8, and 5 years, a nd has two brothers and a sister residing in Chicago. WILL BE BURIED AT BELOIT The Remains of B. B. Colborn Will Lie by the Side of Those of His Wife The remains of B. B. Colborn were taken to Beloit yesterday from Chicago to be buried by th e side of his wife, who was formerly Miss Ella Bower (should read BOWEN) of Janesville, and w ho died a few months ago at the home of her sister, Mrs. Dr. Bell of Beloit. Mr. Colborn wa s a surveyor and was driven from the Beloit Hills by the Indians years ago. He was one of th e engineers in charge of the WorldŁus Fair grading and sewer system.
