Notes
Hugh came to Washington from Kansas in the early days,about 1887. Worked in
timber near Castle Rock until 1901. They then moved to Battle Ground and took
up farming. Came to Orego in 1908 at Unionvale, then moved to Dayton in 1910.
He retired in 1923 and died in 1935.--From Myrtle Peffer,. Hugh's sister on 14
Aug 1972.
