George Washington Hendry was in the very first graduating class of Tri-State
College, then Tri State Normal School. George Washington Hendry was killed in
an accident with a run away team. His wife was Orzella Brown Hendry. His son,
George L. Hendry was a cook in the 137 Field Artilery, World War I. George L,
son of George W. was born Jan 4, 1898 and died July 19, 1965. He is buried in
Circle Hill Cemetary, Angola.
