Notes

After James was killed, Mehitabel and her children moved east to Blandford, Massachusetts to stay with relatives of her mother. There she met a Mr. Morrison, remarried and moved west in approximately 1803. Her children, except perhaps Ruth, returned to Harpersfield before their mother moved west. She and her husband joined a colony formed by James Killionen as agent of the Scotia Land Company and settled at Worthington, Ohio. Worthington is in the Shanon Townshi p of Franklin County. The forty families of the Scotia Land Company who settled in Worthingt on came principally from Hartford Co. in Connecticut and Hampshire Co. in Massachusetts.
