Obituary from the Meadville, Pa. paper, 1906. Death of Mrs. Amanda T. Hendry. Mrs. Amanda T. Hendry, aged 78 years and 6 months, died at 8 :30 Saturday evening at the home of her son, William C. Hendry, 71 Pine street, after a lon g and trying illness. Mrs. Hendry (Amanda Carpenter) was born at Granby, Conn., and was marr ied to W. Hendry on Oct. 8, 1851. Of their sons, Clarence E. died one year ago, and Willia m C. and Edwin L., of this city, survive. She also leaves two grand-daughters, four brother s and one sister. Mrs. Hendry was for over 60 years a consistent member of the Methodist Epi scopal church, and her death will be mourned by many friends. Funeral services will be held from the home of her son, W. C. Hendry at 4 p.m. to-day and th e remains will be taken to Union City on Wednesday morning for burial.
