'SERVICES FOR GRUPE SET. Dentist Dies of Explosion Burns. DALLAS, Texas (AP) - Dr. Donald M
. Grupe, 26 Dallas dentist, died here Sunday from burns received Friday as he was working i
n his labratory. Saturday night he was reported improved, but a replapse set in and he die
d at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services were held here Monday and the body will be sent to P
aris, Tex., where additional services will be held. Dr. Grupe, a native of Arkansas was grad
uated from Baylor Dental College here in 1936. Survivors include his wife; his parents, Mr
. and Mrs. O.H. Grupe of Paris; two sisters, Mrs. George C. Wall, Paris. and Mrs R.B. Moore
, Kansas City, and a brother, Dr. H.C. Grupe of Sudan, Lamb County. The services here for Dr
. Grupe were arranged for 5 o'clock Monday afternoon at Manton-Fry funeral home, conducted b
y the Rev. E.G. Beckman, Minister of First Presbyterian Church, with interment at Evergreen C
emetery, Paris. Marvin Carson, Charles Geron, Dr. W.P. Dickson, Dr. A.L. Jones, J.M. Cavines
s (Cabaniss?) and Maury Robinson were named as pallbearers. Attended Paris Schools - - Dr. G
rupe was corn in Siloam Springs, Ark., on August 11, 1912, and after the family's removal, he
re attended Paris schools. He was graduated from high school and attended Paris Junior Colle
ge one year before entering Texas A and M College. After a year there, he completed his dent
al course at Baylor Dental School in Dallas. Commissioned Lieutenant - - He was a Secretary-
treasurer of the Oak Cliff Dental Society and a life member of Delta Sigma Delta Fraternity
. Commissioned a First Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserve Corps, he had just recei
ved appointment to attend the annual summer training camp this year. He was married April 25
, 1938, to Miss Mildred Caldwell of Dallas.'
