Only known child: Robert Bowen Allen, born 19 April 1911 in Seattle, King Co., Washington. Maj. Robert A. Allen was found in the census as follows: 1920: Tacoma Washington 1930: Ft. William McKinley, Portland, Maine Served at the Base Hospital in Hawaii in 1930's. Wife, Martha Wheeler Bell died 1953 in San Francisco, California and she is listed in her obi tuary as "beloved wife of the late Major Robert A. Allen, M.C., U.S.A., loving mother of Robe rt B. Allen." Martha Wheeler Bell is a descendant of Col Alexander Harper (born 1744). Planning reunion i n the summer of 2006.
