INDEX
Notes
Either there were two Catherine Hendrys as children of William Hendry and
Catherine Hall or there were two Bryan brothers, Clark and Zachariah. In a
warrenty deed executed by Roswell Hotchkiss leaving land in Ashtabula Ohio to
the heirs of William Hendry, there is a Catherine Hendry who is Mrs Clark Bryan
and a Catherine Hendry who is a Mrs. Zachariah Bryan. The warrenty deed
executed in 1819 and sworn in October 1836 is the only place two Catherine
Hendrys is mentioned. Could it be a second marriage for Catherine, both to
Bryans but to be absolutely clear in the deed, include her twice?
