Olive parents were Matthew Gallt of NY and Sally Griggs of CT. Matthew's parents were William Gallt and Margaret Harper. Do you have any further information on Matthew? I believe that these Gallts could be the same but I would like confirmation. Do you know of Olive or her siblings? Olive and Joseph moved to IL in 1834. There is a Martha Gallt in Cato Twp., Cayuga, N.Y. next to Joseph in 1820, and what you have provided, makes me think she is probably the widow of Alexander Gallt. Givin the birthplace of Olive I think it is extremly likely that she is the granddaughter of William and Margaret. Can you tell me anything about their migration paths?
