In the name of God Amen I William Gallt
Late of Chery Valy yoman being
of grate age and infirm
of body but of perfect mind and memory
than sher be
given to God calling to mind the mortality of my Body
and knowing that
it is appointed for all men once
to die. Do make and ordain this
my Last Will and Testa
=ment. That is to say principally and first
of all I give and
recommend my Soul in to the hand of Almighty God
that gave it and my
Body I recommend to the Earth, to
be buried in decent Christian Burial, nothing doubting
but
at the General Resurrection I shall receive the same again
by the
mighty power of God. And as tuching such Worldly
Estate whare with
it has pleased God to bless me in this
life, I give devise and dispose
of the same in the follo
=ing manner, that is to say.
I give and devise to my well beloved Naturall Son
William whom
I likewise constiute, make and ordain
the sole Executor and Administrator
of this my Last Will and
Testament. All and singular my goods and
chatels Bonds
nots booke debts or shuretyes monneys or other affects which
I posess or am
in any way indebted to.
And also my Lot of Land in Chery Valy known by the nam
=e of Lot
Number fifty-one on which I did yousally dwell
and inhabet with
all and singular the orchards gardens and
tennements to him and his
Heirs forever. And I do hereby
utterly disalow, revoke and disannul all and every othe
=r former
Testaments, Wills, Legacies, Bequests, and Executor
=s
By me in any
Wayes named here to fore Willed or bequeth
=ed. Ratifying and confirming
this and no other to be my
last Will and Testament. In witness whar of I have here
un to set
my hand and seal this forth day of March in the
year of Our Lord
one thousand seven hundred seventy nine.

nineteenth
day of December in the year one thousand seven
hundred
and eighty five personally came and appeared
before me Christohpher
P Yates Surrogate of the
said County Wil
=liam Harper of the said county Esquire
and being duly
sworn on his oath says that he saw William Gallt sign
and seal the within written Instrument, purporting to
be the will of the said William Gault
bearing
date the
fourth day of March one thousand seven hundred and
seventy
nine and heard him publish and
declare
the same as and for his last Will(iam) and Testament.
That at the time
thereof he the said William Gault was
of sound disposing mind and memory,
to the best of his
Knowledge and Belief of him the
deponent; and that
his Name subscribed to the said will, is of his
proper
hand
writing, which he subscribed as a witness to the said
will, in the Testators
presence. And that he the Deponent
saw John Harper Junr, Henry Bogart
and Archibald
Harper the other witnesses to the
said will subscribe
their names as Witnesses to the said Will subscribe their
names, as Witnesses thereto, in the Testators presence.
